I have worked with Heather for close to two years. In that time, I have experienced careful healing and restoration of health and mobility. Heather takes the time to carefully analyze and track progress. She listens and pays attention to even the smallest details. She addressed pain and lack of function on many levels. She uses her extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and emotional/spiritual components to restore the body's ability to move freely. She doesn't just use one technique, she really pays attention to what the body is saying in different areas. She is patient, caring, supportive and accepting. I had not been able to run for about eight years and now I run two to three times a week. Chronic pain of my right shoulder, hip, knee and ankle are reduced 90%. I have worked with many practitioners over the years and Heather is truly special. I am so grateful to have found her. My hope of healthy aging is restored!

I have bad knees from an injury and arthritis. I've been to chiropractors, osteopaths, PT at Kaiser, etc. Nobody has helped me as much as Heather. She has decades of experience and knowledge about the human body. She has high standards and will work tirelessly to ensure that you are making progress. You will be in the hands of a highly skilled professional…I don't think there are many people that have her skills. Whereas the Kaiser PT only focused on my knees and legs, Heather focused on my whole body. I've had great results (I now work out almost every day) and can wholeheartedly recommend her.

Heather helped me to recover from surgery I had to remove a neurofibroma. I had scar tissue from the surgery but also nerve damage that was causing numbness to my left foot. The surgeon said most likely the numbness would be permanent. Thanks to Heather's expert knowledge of the connective tissues around the nerves she was able to help me regain full feeling to my foot and rebuild the strength needed to return to my active life! Heather is not just your typical PT — she has a whole body approach to healing which is really important when dealing with more complicated rehabilitation. She is also meticulous at diagnosing mobility issues and then customizing the PT to each patient. I was impressed with the amount of time she spent with me to make sure I was acheiving my goals. It's really hard to find a PT these days that takes the time to listen in detail to concerns and that genuinely cares about your well-being and progress.

Heather is awesome. As someone who suffers from chronic pain (also mis-diagnosed with fibro) — I have been through my share of doctors and therapists. I tend to get flared up easily and traditional manipulation and massage only seems to aggravate my condition. Heather really takes time to understand your whole condition and what is needed to calm things down. Over the past six months she has helped to calm down my nervous system and muscles and given me the ability to reclaim my life. Definitely someone to see if you you are suffering from chronic pain. Ditch the meds and try myofascial release. It really works. And Heather is fantastic.

Heather really helped me recover from a meniscus tear. I tore my meniscus during a football game senior year and needed surgery. I went to a sports PT center for a couple of months and wasn't making progress. I had pain and limited range of motion. My personal trainer recommended Heather and she helped me get back to playing sports again. Heather spent a lot of time customizing the PT work for my specific needs. She gave me weekly exercises to do at home which helped me to strengthen the area around my knee. She even discovered a previous hamstring injury which compromised my knee joint. During a follow up appointment, my orthopedic surgeon was surprised I had made so much progress and cleared me to play sports again. If it wasn't for Heather I'm not sure I would have met that goal.

I was in a serious car accident. I left the hospital with my doctor saying my muscles and soft tissue had been turned to mush. After four months of rehabilitation I could walk without a device (I had gone from wheelchair to walker to cane). I could only walk a short distance and I was very limited with what I could do. I had used up all my insurance help so I needed to find help myself. This is when Heather was recommended. For a year Heather worked on my problems. I can now walk briskly for an hour and can do so much more in my daily life. Also my pain level is lower. I still see Heather to help keep me as healthy as possible. I still have limitations but thanks to Heather I can deal with those limitations. Her treatments and exercise routines have helped me regain the ability to go ahead with my life.

Approximately 5 years ago, I suffered a really severe injury to my right leg/ankle. I was walking in a hotel in Lake Tahoe, and completely missed three steps and fell badly to the floor while carrying my laptop and dragging a heavy suitcase. My right fibula was laterally shattered and my right tibia was severely displaced from the center of the ankle. This required surgery to repair with a plate and screws being placed into my bones.
I had undergone the traditional physical therapy of exercise and stretching, but my progress had plateaued. Unbeknownst to me at the time, I had an atrial septal defect and a PFO hole in my heart which made my blood flow to my extremities weaker than normal. This exacerbated my problem since this caused blood and fluid to accumulate in my wound area.
Without Heather's intervention through her knowledge of myofascial release, I'm convinced my leg would have never recovered. Even though I had my heart holes plugged, it took Heather's work to massage and work the congestion out of the problem areas in my legs and lower body so that the swelling could diminish and the healing and strength building could begin.
Heather systematically measured my progress and measured various parameters of my ankle to measure my progress towards normal ankle biomechanics. Prior to visiting Heather, I was unaware of this form of physical therapy. I was truly amazed on how well that it worked. It seems as though not many doctors or other medical professionals are aware of this form of treatment. I didn't know prior to seeing Heather about the body's connective tissue: the fascia. The body's fascia which holds things in their place, actually also unintentionally prevents healing of damaged areas. Because of the swelling and inflammation around my injury, the congestion could not circulate and be discharged out of my body. Heather manipulated my fascia so this could happen and healing could occur!
Without Heather's knowledge and expertise, the swelling would never have subsided and I would have never made any progress. My results have been truly amazing. What I think is amazing, is that I was able to see her for about a year…discontinue treatment and really have had no issues ever since. I'm able to exercise regularly and keep my ankle loose and strong, and devoid of pain.

I injured my lower back and left leg 10 years prior to seeing Heather. Every 2-3 months I would re-injure myself, playing sports, causing pain and problems with walking, sitting, and sleeping. My daughter fell while playing with her sister, then started having problems with pain in her right hip, right elbow, both knees and both ankles. She said the pain was keeping her from being able to play sports.
After seeing Heather both of us are doing great.
I would highly recommend Heather she definitely knows what she is doing.

The referral to Heather Bazinet for treatment has truly been life-changing! I have been seeing her for about 4 months and am off of almost all my pain medications and no longer have many of the pains I had before, including eye, skull, and neck pain. My joint pain is gone and my sacrum pain has been significantly reduced.
I am sure that as Heather and I continue working together and we will be able to heal my remaining issues. Her work has profoundly changed my life! If you ever have the chance, I strongly recommend her. Heather is such a compassionate, kind, honest and friendly person. Her skill set is truly amazing. She has given me my life back! I am forever grateful and in her debt! I urge you to talk to her about how she can help you! I know it sounds too good to be true, but it is not. It is just the truth from an elementary school teacher who thought she might never be able to teach again!

I had neck surgery in November 2011 and had been practically immobile with the physical therapists I had been using. For over a year, I was unable to sit for an extended period of time or bend over. I felt stuck and hopeless about my potential for recovery. It wasn't until I found Heather in February 2013 that I regained that hope and began to increase my mobility/activity. Heather has been an instrumental component to my recovery. Her professionalism and technique is far superior to any of the other physical therapists I had been to prior. With her help, I am now much more mobile (sitting, hiking, even golfing!)
She has put me back on the road to recovery and I fully endorse her myofascial techniques.
